THE HISTORY OF OUR COMPLEX

Bartolomeo Best River Resort is named after the famous Portuguese explorer, Bartolomeu Dias, who discovered the Cape of Good Hope in 1487. Many objects here, associated with the era of great geographical discoveries, with the expedition of Bartolomeu Dias and his team, with the history of the discovery of the Cape of Good Hope, with South Africa.

The uniqueness of Bartolomeo lies in the combination of a park, a museum of ethnography and a full-fledged resort in the center of the Dnipro.

Each guest is greeted by stone keepers. They hold symbols of two elements: water and fire. The stone arch of the entrance, like a portal, takes the guest from the noisy and dusty city bustle to the world of exoticism, adventure and new sensations. On the territory there are exotic monuments of African tribes' history, which reflect the culture of ancient Africa, Maya, Aztec cultures, as well as more than 100 statues. Each has its own meaning, purpose and power. Some are copies of the ancient African originals, the rest are the work of our sculptors.

The most important monument is Bartolomeu Dias.

Серпневого ранку 1487 флотилія Бартоломеу Діаша на чолі з флагманським кораблем «San Gabriel» вирушила з Лісабона на схід, в пошуках морського шляху до Індії. Довгі місяці мореплавці йшли уздовж африканського узбережжя, долаючи бурі і шторми. The restaurant complex is a replica of the San Gabriel ship, which found its last resting place on the sandy beach and rocks. The lobby of the restaurant complex is a rocky grotto decorated with aquariums with tropical fish and bas-reliefs in the style of Indian tribes, and its ceiling is the bottom of the ship.

The Stone of the Sun is one of the oldest monuments of Aztec culture, dating from about 1479. It is 3.60 m in diameter and 1.22 m thick and weighs 24 tons. The disc represents Aztec cosmology in brief symbolic form. The architectural pearl of Bartolomeo is the restaurant complex. We recreated the ship of the sailor and his crew, filling every corner with life and history. In the aquarium is a copy of the ancient Aztec calendar or, as they call it, the Stone of the Sun.
